Kick-off workshop in Quebec

We travelled to beautiful Quebec City for a three-day workshop on "Marine Primary Production in a Changing Arctic Ocean" which took place at the TAKUVIK International Laboratory at Université Laval.

Co-organized by Mathieu Ardyna and Karl Attard, the workshop focused on topics such as sensor technologies, remote sensing, model development, and collaborative research activities with the goal to identify challenges and opportunities for deepening our understanding of marine primary production in the Arctic.

Participants included Mikael Sejr, Marcel Babin, Philippe Archambault, Lisa Matthes, Karen Filbee-Dexter, Rakesh Kumar-Singh, Camille Lavoie, Foucaut Tachon, and Philippe Massicotte.

The event provided a platform for stimulating discussions and facilitated networking opportunities. Collaborative ventures were forged, promising exciting future endeavors.

In addition to the academic agenda, participants enjoyed local cuisine and cultural experiences in Quebec City. Special thanks go to Mathieu Ardyna, Philippe Archambault, and Marcel Babin for being excellent hosts. We look forward to our next visit.
